Portfolio Performance Update
2006-05-04 19:42 | Posted by The Graham Investor | Permanent Link | Screen PerformanceThe latest Performance Update is now available. Note, Cal Dive International changed its name to Helix Energy Solutions Inc. The annualized gain has dropped significantly due to the passage of time in recent months where the portfolio has not gained significantly.
Indeed, Ceradyne has come off its peak of $63.84 a fair bit
since early March. I do not think this is the beginning of a trend
reversal for CRDN because it is still making significant profits, still
developing better and better products, still gaining orders from the US
Military and the US Military is still in Iraq. So nothing much has
changed that makes me think this stock is headed anywhere but up,
albeit with some wild corrections along the way. Volatility is
certainly increasing in Ceradyne.
In the coming months, however I will be looking to sell some of the other stocks in the portfolio to make way for others that are better value. KOSP, which I've been watching of late, hasn't given me any incentive to buy yet. It's time to trawl the screens for some other potential opportunities.
It is good to see a significant gain in Digital River in recent months. It barely moved for a long while after adding it to the portfolio last year.
