Hi, there Harkonnen.
Yes you are correct, Ann. return is Annualized.
The portfolio was started at the beginning of 2005. First purchase was made on 02/19/05.
I don't really understand the question "when was the beginning of the % gain". The portfolio was in profit pretty much from the start.
I am working on an auto-updating mechanism for the portfolio, yes, but it is one of many things on my to-do list...
I guess I should probably give it a higher priority, because posting performance updates is hard work.

Hey,
I just found your website on the net and it was the exact thing I was looking for screening true Graham stocks. I am very impressed by the performance of your portfolio, but I am a little confused as to which stocks have you been buying. Does your portfolio only consist of stocks 66% below NCAV or it follows another screen? Let me know.

I guess I need to make this a little more obvious, but the portfolio stocks were selected from the 4 screens on the site. The "featured stocks" section which predated the blog has all the articles where stocks were evaluated and picked for the portfolio. Again, this is not very obvious for people coming here for the first time and I must remedy that, but check here:

Hi
Thanks for the reply. I has a few suggestions for the website. The reason being I love your website and want it to be a little more interesting for me and other Grahamians.
It would be great if you could just make a few portfolios with different screens you have. It would be great to know the performance of a particular criteria over the years. Eg. you can make a portfolio where you only add stocks trading 66% below NCAV or you could make one with your intrinsic value screen. This way people can find out more about the performance of specific criteria.
Other than that I love your website and I would continue being a daily visitor.

Geegogel, I'll see what I can do...I have been saving the stocks thrown up by the weekly screens, and will find the time to analyze them. However, be aware that the screens are not meant to be blindly bought -- they are meant to narrow down a large number of stocks to just a few. Then you have to do your own investigation or "due diligence" and pick the ones you think are most likely to do well or recover. Some stocks in the screens can and will fall more in price.
I did however take a snapshot of the "Low Price/CFO Screen" arlier in the year and made a
blog post about it. That post is
here: http://www.grahaminvestor.com/the-graham-investor-blog/archive/2006/01/17/low-price-to-operating-cash-flow-does-it-work
I will be starting a new $100k portfolio soon. This will be real money.
Let's see how it goes.
